Due to the growth of our hospitality portfolio, we have an exciting new opportunity and are looking for a Client Manager or Senior Client Manager to join our Hospitality team. This role is based in our Sydney office in The Rocks.
Main objectives
• Management of a portfolio of hospitality clients
• Gather underwriting information and understand risk profile and foresee clients’ insurance needs
• Organise and attend renewal and new business meetings and understand the specific insurance requirements for the clients
• Building and maintaining positive ongoing relationships with clients and underwriters
• Marketing and new business initiatives in order to further develop the client portfolio, including attendance at industry conferences and entertaining current and prospective clients. Interstate travel and working outside of standard business hours is required.
• Provide a high level of customer service and advice to all clients across the portfolio
• Staying abreast of changes within the insurance market and clients’ industry sectors
Education & Qualification
• Tier 1 Compliance
• A University degree or equivalent education is highly regarded
Knowledge & Experience
• At least 5+ years relevant insurance broking or underwriting experience, or alternatively management or business development experience in the hospitality industry
• The ability to build and develop relationships and liaise with clients at all levels, and ability to have difficult and robust conversations
• An understanding of client confidentiality
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong negotiation, account management, analytical and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with personal drive and ambition
• Administrative and IT skills, Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
