Claims Manager / Head of Claims

GSA are looking for an experienced claims professional to join our team in this newly created role. The role of our claims team is to ensure prompt, professional claims service and support is provided to all clients. You will work closely with the Account Managers to achieve the best possible claims outcomes for our clients, and take on a leadership role within the claims team and the broader business.

Main objectives

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of claims
  • Collaborate with Insurers and Legal representatives on complex issues
  • Investigating complex claims matters
  • Exercise judgement when negotiating with and advising clients
  • Work closely with the team to ensure we offer the best service possible to ensure we retain clients
  • Collating information, analysis and reporting

Education and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience managing claims
  • Degree in business highly regarded
  • Legal qualification highly regarded
  • Tier 1 qualification highly regarded

Knowledge and experience

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with personal drive and ambition
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • The ability to facilitate outcomes through effective influencing and negotiation skills
