GSA NSW Workers Compensation Seminar
Firstly thank you to icare and EML for their collaboration and time at our Workers Compensation Seminar held 6th April 2018.
Thank you to the GSA clients and network that were in attendance – your keen interest in this space does not go unnoticed.
During the session, Heather Smith (General Manager, RTW Services, icare) and Mark Coyne (CEO, EML) walked clients through icare’s claims model, claims transition and a raft of other initiatives designed to improve the scheme.
With significant changes over a condensed period of time, both Heather and Mark were open about progress to date since implementing the new model on 1 January, and shared insights into the services which will continue to evolve and provide further value over time.
Clients were able to hear first-hand about some of the challenges and were able to ask questions and provide direct feedback. There was a strong sense of understanding and support for the vision of change following this discussion. Clients saw how the new case management model is designed to ensure that claims are handled efficiently, to achieve the best outcome for all parties.
Heather and Mark emphasised the important role for Brokers during these periods of change. They highlighted the importance of a Broker’s knowledge of their clients’ organisation and how this information can be utilised to work with icare and EML to achieve positive outcomes.
Mark reminded clients of the close relationship he shares with GSA.
