What is the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning?
Coffee, always coffee is the no. 1 priority and then food, I always wake up starving!
What puts a smile on your face?
My dog, Coco and spending time with my partner and family. I also love getting out into the bush and chase the sun on the weekends!
What irritates you?
Throat clearing, it drives me mad. I also really don’t like dishonesty, I find it really difficult to get past being lied to. Even ‘white’ lies are not ok.
What inspires you?
Food. I love eating and have been enjoying cooking new dishes on the weekends. I also love challenging myself and trying new things that push me outside of my comfort zone. A recent highlight was the Storage King conference in the Gold Coast. Storage King hired out Movie World for the final night and they had the rollercoasters open for use. A client and I were both terrified but so keen to take the opportunity while we could. It was just as terrifying as we thought it would be but what an experience!
What is your worst habit?
I hate to admit but chewing gum, I go through a pack a day at the moment. I really need to quit.
What are you most proud of?
My resilience and drive to keep pushing and trying new things. I have found that each new experience opens up doors to new opportunities and it’s is exciting being challenged.
What animal represents you and why?
I am going to say lion – mainly because of my hair (Orange and long :) )
Where is your favourite travel destination and why?
I really enjoy going away to warm places with my partner - in particular northern QLD or Asia. On our last holiday to Koh Samui we were alternating days of relaxing on the beach drinking mid-day cocktails and exploring the natural surroundings. Next holiday should be Europe or America – hopefully both in the warmer months.
What is your favourite weekend activity?
Playing Ice Hockey and attempting to outplay the boys (I usually come off second best but I am working on it ;) ).
What is something you would like to improve on?
I am always looking for ways to improve and grow. At the moment, I am working on my confidence when speaking in front of large groups and my skating skills.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?
Obtaining my Pilots Licence and being able to fly a plane before I could drive a car.
What was your first job when you were growing up?
My first real job was as a cashier/all-rounder in a newsagency. I was 15 and started the role by filling in for my friend who couldn’t make their shift. I was offered a job on my first day and yes, my friend still kept their job too.
Who do you look up to?
Everyone that is taller than me! On a serious note, my Mum because nothing is ever really an issue, ever. She takes on big challenges and when problems come up she always manages to find a solution and maintains being positive throughout it all!
Where do you hope to be in 10 years?
Still wrinkle free.
