On Saturday night 12th July 2008 at the (NIBA) National Insurance Brokers Association’s Annual Gala Ball, held at the Sydney Hilton Hotel, Paul Hines, CEO of GSA Insurance Brokers, was awarded the ‘NSW QPIB Broker of the Year!”
This prestigious award is voted by key executives within the insurance industry. This year there were forty nominees, and just six shortlisted candidates.

The win follows an exciting year for Paul after he became 100% owner and CEO of the GSA Group. At the time Paul remarked “After so many years of partnership, I’m looking forward to the challenges presented by taking sole responsibility for the business.” It would seem the win proves that his dedication to GSA and GSA Clients has only become stronger.

In his thankyou speech Paul commented that he did not think he would win and had therefore not prepared a speech (or worn a dinner suit!). Paul thanked his co-workers for helping build GSA into a company with an enviable market presence, culture and spirit.

Paul also paid tribute to Margo Ward, CEO of the Children’s Charity, KidsXpress. GSA formed an important part in establishing KidsXpress and Paul recognised Margo for her tireless work. Through their combined efforts, many businesses within the insurance industry now make donations to KidsXpress.
