After many years of working in this industry, the vision that Stephen and I have for our business has become a reality. We are now realising our dream of differentiating ourselves from our competitors.

And, to put it mildly, we’re bloody excited by it.

This vision is embodied in the re-branding of the company. We’ve decided to move away from “General Security Australia”, and go back to “GSA”. For us, this represents a connection to our original company, and a step forward into the future.

We’ve also decided that we would make formal something that has been a fundamental part of the way we do business: “Challenging the Status Quo”. GSA have never been willing to let the prescribed or traditional expectations of others get in the way of delivering great products and service to our clients. We’ve always done this through being eye-opening in everything we do, so we’re pleased to announce that “Eye-opening insurance” has been adopted as the ethos for the business.  This is a poignant moment in time for the business, and we’re proud to see the manner in which GSA people have embraced this ethic, and taken ownership of it.

I’m also delighted that Dr John Hewson has agreed to become Chairman of GSA’s Board. John, despite his noted achievements and pre-eminent standing within the business community, has gained the respect of our team through demonstrating a genuine interest in GSA’s welfare, and in the people that make it up. We are blessed to share our office with a man of his stature. And to think that he shares our vision, right down to our focus on charity via KidsXpess, where John has also assumed the role of Chairman.

We have no intention of being a collective of grey suits, we want to define what the industry stands for, not be defined by it.
